Ava: A Hart Twins Novel

by Charyse Allan

Genre: YA Romance/Suspense
Release Date: January 29th 2019

Ava has everything planned, as usual. Finish senior year at the top of her class, perform her best dance routine at the dance concert, and have the greatest prom ever. But her best friend, Cade, has other ideas. He convinces Ava to abandon her rigid schedule and enjoy her last year of high school. After letting her hair down for one amazing night and exchanging a steamy kiss with Cade, she's ready to explore this carefree side of herself, until someone plays a cruel joke on her.

Humiliated and hurt, Ava retreats into her carefully constructed box, hoping everything will go back to normal. But it doesn't. What she thought was a prank has turned out to be so much more, and she doesn't even know the half of it. Determined to handle the situation herself, Ava hides her true feelings from her friends and her new love interest, but is quickly pushed past her breaking point.

The survival of a sickening betrayal, a broken heart, and a perilous attack mean very little when lost in a game you don’t even know you’re playing.

Character Interviews
Meet Ava and Cade
From AVA: A Hart Twins Novel

Ava:

I’m Ava! I’m in my senior year of high school. I’m Captain of the dance team, on student counsel, and pretty close to top of my class. I have a great love of perfectly planned schedules and keeping control of any and all situations. I have a big brother in the Air Force and an identical twin sister who is my polar opposite in every way.

I like tea instead of coffee, waking up at the crack of dawn to go running, and making pretty schedules to keep me on top of things. I’ve never attended a party in my life, not counting Rabia and Mason’s kid birthday parties where clowns and ponies frequented. I’m the most un-teenagey teen you’ll ever meet, aside from the fact I am madly in love to the point of stupidity with my best friend, Cade. Like, I can be in complete control of any given situation until he shows up and my mind goes ------------------------
Too bad it will never work out since he can’t stand my schedules and OCD tendencies. But it’s cool. I can become a nun or something since beyond my enormous crush on him, my love life is kinda meh. As in I’ve never dated anyone else… ever. Despite that, I’m determined to make this last year of high school the best year yet before I head off to my college of choice.

Cade:

Cade here. Moved to Portland from Seattle with my mom a few years back. My mom had me pretty young so sometimes I’m the one raising her. My dad’s a womanizing dick who I want to be nothing like, but he has a way of butting back into our peaceful lives.

I’ve been known to have a bad temper and can be a bit pushy. Girls, bud, and parties used to be all I knew. These days the quiet life hanging with my friends and working for the local Alt-rock station is much more appealing.

Ava and her little rag-tag crew were my first friends after the move. I’ve had a thing for her since we met, but her schedule and extra-curricular activities always got in the way. In this final year of our high school careers, I’m determined to change that.

I’m the guy that will do just about anything for my mom and friends. I enjoy good music, coffee, and making Ava blush.
