When it comes to fighting demons, Prince Lincoln is the greatest warrior in the history of his people, the thrax. Now Lincoln faces his hardest fight yet…and it’s not on a traditional battlefield.
Lincoln is falling in love. And the girl is part demon.
Between a fated dance at the Ryder mansion...a life-changing walk through a hedgerow maze...and a massive battle with none other than the King of Hell...Lincoln realizes that he wants to share his life with Myla Lewis, the part-demon girl who has captured his heart. However, an evil thrax noble—the powerful Earl of Acca—is prepared to do anything to stop Lincoln and Myla from having a future.
But Lincoln won’t give up on his Myla. Ever.
To fight Aldred, Lincoln works to create a different kind of marriage—an Alliance of the lesser thrax houses against Acca. Sadly, just as Lincoln starts to makes some progress, the nobles who’ve joined his Alliance begin to vanish. Is Aldred behind the disappearances, or is someone else vying for power? When Lincoln discovers the truth, it upends his entire world, threatening his future with Myla in ways no one could ever have imagined.
"I absolutely love Christina Bauer’s style, full of action, intense scenes, and characters that will test one’s imaginations to the max!" - Tome Tender Book Blog
Publisher's Note: Christina Bauer is a non-linear thinker who came up with ARMAGEDDON and then went back and wrote some earlier books. This is why you'll see ARMAGEDDON (Book 8) and the Offspring series available before LINCOLN (Book 2) THE BRUTAL TIME (Book 7). We've told her to stop this practice, but she keeps giving us lewd hand gestures in response. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience.

A Bandy's Book Nook Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Older YA?I really enjoyed this book. I started this series on book 4, so for me reading this book gave me the chance to find out how it all started. I know, I know, if you love a series why haven’t you read the beginning of it? Guys I got to tell you my life has been a bit crazy. I do plan on reading them though!
I love Myla, but learning how Lincoln's mind works, and how he met Myla was just a treat. I love how he is first drawn to the fighter in Myla. She's got enough spunk for an army, but it's her fighting nature that really makes her who she is. Lincoln loves the warrior first and that is awesome. When it comes time for the fighting he is by her side and thinking of her as an equal. It makes their dynamic, so much more. Sure he wants to protect her, but he’s willing to stand back and just admire the way she takes her opponent down. Gore, bits, and pieces and all.
I also loved finding out what the story was with Adair. Oh that girl is clueless! I just want to smack her dad! For a prince, Lincoln really has some thorny political problems. This book gives insight in to how Lincoln was raised, and how the alliances of his court work. It also gives the back story of how different characters know each other, and the inner workings of Thrax life.
It is my understanding that this book does not exactly mirror book one scene for scene, and I love that. I agree with the authors notes that Lincoln would have different concerns, and things going on than Myla and the book is great the way it is. I really need to read the first couple of books, so I can see how Myla felt lol.
