Power can take many forms, but sometimes the greatest magic comes from inside you.

Asha has been a servant for the cruel Duke Bryce for as long as she can remember, and when he married Queen Ilma of the Wind Kingdom, she was dragged to the castle with him and his daughters.

Now, the death of the queen has thrown the castle into panic: if her son, Prince Aither, doesn’t marry before his 18th birthday, the throne will go to Duke Bryce.

Prince Aither knows he must choose a wife, and he’s resigned to his fate. But Duke Bryce has his own ideas about who his bride should be, and if he gets his way, no one will be happy.

Asha is used to watching everything unfold from her place in the kitchen, but she soon finds herself on an unexpected quest set to change her life forever.

Meanwhile, Prince Aither must find a way to make the best of what seems like a hopeless situation and use his powerful magic as a force for good in the kingdom.

The Glass Stone is a magical tale of hope and love inspired by the traditional story of Cinderella. Sometimes, just a little bit of magic is all you need to change the world.

Lose your head in the clouds with Asha and Aither on their magical journey.

Happy. That’s what her old dog used to call me her Bolt, who had a sparkly yellow gemstone on his muzzle. He ran back inside, tried to save Asha’s parents, but they all… perished.

“Asha!” Duke Bryce yelled from his chair at the head of the table.

Asha blinked, and stumbled forward, still holding the tray of crumpets and coffee for Duke Bryce’s morning meeting with a Sun Kingdom delegate. “Sorry,” she mumbled as she placed the kettle, cups, and plates between them.

“Who’s this?” the smarmy Sun Kingdom delegate asked.

“Count Charmant,” Duke Bryce said his name, rolling the hard consonants. “She’s from that little house to the easy…” He arched his brows.

“Ah,” Count Charmant said and turned to Asha. “So, you’re the little girl who lost her parents.”

Asha pressed her teeth together. “Yes,” she managed to say. Back when I was a happy, carefree child, she added silently.

Looking at Duke Bryce, Asha hoped he would interject, that he would say something. But he didn’t. He refused. Instead, the sides of his flat lips curled upward into a smirk.

Tears bubbled behind Asha’s eyes, but she put on the mask she’d put on too many times in the last two months since her parents died and Duke Bryce offered his home to her. What he failed to mention, when he opened his home to Asha, was that she would have to work for her keep, for all the food her eight-year-old body consumed, and anything else that cost Duke Bryce anything.

“You’re dismissed.” Duke Bryce flicked his wrist at her, and Asha took her leave.

Staggering back into the kitchen, Asha collapsed against the counter. Tears streamed down her face as every ounce of grief and frustration bubbled to the surface. Everything she’d pushed down these last few months, everything she’d pushed aside to mask her sorrow resurfaced in spades.

But she would be happy again. And she’d do anything to get there, to feel what she once felt when her parents were alive. When Bolt was still there and her family was intact. No matter how long it takes, no matter the journey from here to there, she was going to make it happen.
