Happenstance Farms A New Home
Author Susie McMichael Blog Post
In the first book, Happenstance Farms A New Home, actual names have been used, they are the primary characters throughout the series. Ms. Ellen is very instrumental in the story as she is Savanna's trainer. Savanna is the main character; she is also Eli’s and Sophia’s friend. Most of the things that Savanna experiences will include one of these characters in some way.
As new characters are introduced in the series, the names could be an actual, real life individual's name or derived from the actual individual. Some of Savanna's friends at the barn may love to be mentioned in a book while others may wish to remain anonymous. I will always get approval prior to using anyone's name in the book.
The characters each have their own unique personality and it shapes their experiences in future books. Readers will generally identify with the one or many of the characters in Happenstance Farms A New Home.
As the horse or pony characters are introduced in the series, I will use their actual barn name. Savanna has a close relationship with each of the ponies she rides, and we want to make sure to honor them whenever we can. The horses and ponies are the unsung heroes at Happenstance Farms.
